Rules and regulations

§1 General provisions

1. The Rules and Regulations concern Magnificon Expo 2015 - a meeting of Japan, manga and anime enthusiasts, taking place from 29th to 31st May 2015 at EXPO KRAKÓW, located at ulica Galicyjska 9 in Kraków - referred to as "the Convention", and define the relationship between:

MiOhi - registered in the Central Register of Economic Activity (CEIDG) under Tax Identification Number (NIP) 6372027174, who are the Convention's organisers, and are responsible for enforcing the Rules and Regulations

and

The Participant, defined in §1.2.

2. The Participant is any person who:

a) purchases an entry ticket, as specified in §2
b) is a Dealer, as specified in §3
c) is a Helper, as specified in §4
d) is a guest invited by MiOhi

3. Any person present at Magnificon Expo 2015 venue during the Convention is obliged to comply with the  Rules and Regulations.

 

§2 Participation in the Convention

1. Any person who is a Participant as defined in §1.2 is allowed to be present at the Convention, along with the Organisers and security and emergency services personnel.

2. An entry ticket for the Convention may be purchased:

a) in the online sale during the promotional period, by booking through an online reservation system available through the  http://magnificon.miohi.pl website and paying the appriopriate fee:

50 PLN for a Friday+Saturday ticket, giving event entry from 5pm on the first day until 10pm on the second day
50 PLN for a Saturday+Sunday ticket, giving event entry from 8am on the second day until 3pm on the third day
65 PLN for a three days Friday+Saturday+Sunday ticket, giving event entry from 5pm on the first day until 3pm on the third day
30 PLN for a Friday only ticket, giving event entry from 5pm until midnight on the first day
45 PLN for a Saturday only ticket, giving event entry from 8am until 10pm on the second day
25 PLN for a Sunday only ticket, giving event entry from 8am until 3pm on the third day
Children aged 10 or younger - free entry

b) in the online sale after the promotional period ends, by booking through an online reservation system available through the  http://magnificon.miohi.pl website and paying the appriopriate fee:

55 PLN for a Friday+Saturday ticket, giving event entry from 5pm on the first day until 10pm on the second day
55 PLN for a Saturday+Sunday ticket, giving event entry from 8am on the second day until 3pm on the third day
70 PLN for a three days Friday+Saturday+Sunday ticket, giving event entry from 5pm on the first day until 3pm on the third day
30 PLN for a Friday only ticket, giving event entry from 5pm until midnight on the first day
45 PLN for a Saturday only ticket, giving event entry from 8am until 10pm on the second day
25 PLN for a Sunday only ticket, giving event entry from 8am until 3pm on the third day
Children aged 10 or younger - free entry

c) on the door during the Convention, at the following rates:

65 PLN for a Friday+Saturday ticket, giving you event entry from 5pm on the first day until 10pm on the second day
65 PLN for a Saturday+Sunday ticket, giving you event entry from 8am on the second day until 3pm on the third day
80 PLN for a three days Friday+Saturday+Sunday ticket, giving you event entry from 5pm on the first day until 3pm on the third day
35 PLN for a Friday only ticket, giving you event entry from 5pm until midnight on the first day
50 PLN for a Saturday only ticket, giving you event entry from 8am until 10pm on the second day
30 PLN for a Sunday only ticket, giving you event entry from 8am until 3pm on the third day
Children aged 10 or younger - free entry


3. The amount of available tickets of each type is limited.

4. The fee specified in §2.2 a) and §2.2 b) must be paid into a bank account, details of which are given in the reservation system, within seven days after the booking. The payment may be issued by a third party on behalf of the Participant.

5. The online sale is open from 1st April 2015 until 24th May 2015. MiOhi reserve the right to stop or extend the online sale, in particular in the event that the Convention is cancelled, all the tickets available are sold, or that the tickets set aside for the online sale do not sell out by 24th May 2015.

6. The promotional period of the online sale lasts from 1st April 2015 until 15th April 2015.

7. It is not allowed to transfer or resell tickets to any third party.

8. Booking cancellations should be reported to MiOhi before the Convention by sending an email to info@miohi.pl. The email should contain the booking reference number, the ticket holder's personal details, and the details of the bank account to which the refund should be transferred.

9. MiOhi guarantees to issue a refund for any cancelled booking within 21 days from the Convention's end date.
The following administrative fees will be charged:


1.50 PLN for the cancellation of any ticket, at least seven days before the Convention's start date.
55 PLN for the cancellation of a Friday+Saturday ticket (50 PLN in case of a promotional ticket), less than seven days before the Convention's start date.
55 PLN for the cancellation of a Saturday+Sunday ticket (50 PLN in case of a promotional ticket), less than seven days before the Convention's start date.
70 PLN for the cancellation of a three days Friday+Saturday+Sunday ticket (65 PLN in case of a promotional ticket), less than seven days before the Convention's start date.
30 PLN for the cancellation of a Friday only ticket, less than seven days before the Convention's start date.
45 PLN for the cancellation of a Saturday only ticket, less than seven days before the Convention's start date.
25 PLN for the cancellation of a Sunday only ticket, less than seven days before the Convention's start date.

10. If the Participant is a minor, they are obliged to provide a written statement of consent of their parent or guardian to the Participant's attendance at the Convention. The statement should contain the Participant's and their parent or guardian's full names, the Convention's date and address, and the parent or guardian's contact telephone number. The statement of consent form is available on our website.

11. MiOhi will provide each Participant with an identification badge and a wristband, which must be worn in a visible place for the duration of the Convention.

12. It is not allowed to transfer the identification badge and/or the wristband to any third parties.

13. Any person not wearing the identification badge and/or the wristband, or whose wristband shows signs of being tampered with, will be removed from the Convention.

14. Any person who loses their identification badge and/or wristband must report this fact at a registration desk as soon as possible. It is possible to buy a new identification badge and/or wristband, at a price set on a case-by-case basis, but not higher than the on the door entry fee.

§3 Dealers


1. A Dealer is any person who purchases a vending ticket.

2. Terms and conditions governing the sales of vending tickets are specified in Terms and Conditions for Dealers, which are available on MiOhi's website http://magnificon.miohi.pl.

§4 Helpers

1. A Helper is any person who volunteers their assistance with managing the Convention, and who is accepted by the Helper Coordinator appointed by MiOhi.

2. Helpers do not receive financial rewards for their assistance.

3. The Helper is obliged to follow the Helper Coordinator's instructions.

4. During the Convention MiOhi will provide the Helper with:

a) on-site accommodation
b) food and drinks
c) a Helper T-shirt
d) a refund of the entry fee

5. The Helper is obliged to wear the Helper T-shirt for the duration of the Convention.

6. Entry fee refunds are issued after the Convention ends, from 5pm on the third day of the event, unless the Helper Coordinator decides otherwise.

§5 Rights and responsibilities of the Participant

1. The Participant is obliged to behave politely while present at the Convention Venue during the event.

2. The Participant is obliged to comply with safety regulations, and to assist anyone who needs help. The Participant must immediatelly report any situations which may pose a threat to the life, health or property of any person present at the Convention to the Organisers or the Security Staff.

3. The Participant is obliged to follow instructions given by Organisers, Helpers or Security Staff.

4. No person participating in the Convention is allowed to bring into and/or use at the Convention Venue, any items or substances which may pose a threat to other persons present at the event; in particular:

   •    alcoholic beverages, narcotics or other intoxicants,
   •    weapons of any sort, including practice weapons (does not apply to cosplay or LARP events - however each item of this kind must be reported to the Organisers)
   •    flammable, toxic or radioactive substances,
   •    explosives or pyrotechnic devices and materials,
   •    personal self-defence devices, such as pepper spray, stun guns or batons

5. The Participants are obliged to keep the Convention Venue tidy.

6. It is forbidden to damage any property. Should such an incident take place, the perpetrator is liable to pay compensation for any damage caused.

7. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the Convention Venue outside designated smoking areas.

8. The consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants at the Convention Venue is prohibited. Intoxicated persons are not allowed to enter or remain at the Convention Venue.

9. Unauthorised advertising  in any form is not permitted anywhere on EXPO KRAKÓW premises. All advertising spaces, including walls and doors, are the property of EXPO KRAKÓW, and any person or organisation  found in breach of this rule may be charged according to the appriopriate pricelist.


§6 Rights and responsibilities of MiOhi

1. MiOhi are obliged to provide the Participant with access to events listed in the programme published at http://magnificon.miohi.pl seven days before the Convention's start date.

2. MiOhi are obliged to publish any programme updates as soon as possible.

3. MiOhi are not responsible for cancellations in the Convention's programme which have to be made for reasons beyond their control; in particular because of the speaker's absence or lack of preparation, or because of technical problems with equipment provided by the speaker.
